The Challenge

FinTrack Pro, a Series A financial analytics SaaS, was losing 68% of trial users within the first session. Their monolithic Rails + jQuery codebase was averaging 6.2-second page loads, and their onboarding flow required 14 steps before users reached any value. The legacy system could not scale to support their newly onboarded enterprise clients.

Our Approach

We conducted a 2-week technical discovery including user session recordings, heatmap analysis, funnel drop-off mapping, and architecture review. We identified three critical failure points: performance bottleneck in the data visualisation layer, a bloated onboarding UX, and missing mobile responsiveness. We proposed a full platform rebuild on Next.js with real-time dashboard capabilities.

The Solution

Built a greenfield Next.js + TypeScript platform with a React-based charting engine using Recharts and D3. Compressed onboarding to 3 progressive steps with immediate value unlock. Implemented server-side rendering for data-heavy dashboard pages. Introduced Supabase for real-time data, resulting in live financial feeds without polling. Delivered a full Figma design system and a React component library across 34 components.

The Challenge

Apex Digital, a fast-growing UK-based premium lifestyle brand, was capped by their Shopify Basic template. Product pages were loading in 5.8 seconds on mobile. Their checkout abandonment rate stood at 74% — 18 points above industry average. The existing theme couldn't support their planned product launch of 400+ SKUs.

Our Approach

We proposed a headless Shopify architecture using Next.js on the frontend with Shopify's Storefront API on the backend. This would decouple the presentation layer from Shopify's template constraints, giving us full control over performance, design, and UX. We ran a detailed conversion audit of the existing checkout flow and identified five removable friction points.

The Solution

Built a blazing-fast headless storefront with ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) for product pages, Algolia-powered search and filtering, and a fully custom checkout experience integrated with Stripe and Klarna for BNPL. Implemented a dynamic product bundler that increased average order value. Shipped a custom Loyalty programme micro-app and a mobile-native PWA experience.

Within three months of launching, we 2xd our revenue. The checkout experience they built is honestly world-class. I've never seen that from an external team before.

The Challenge

Prismatic Health's clinician-facing appointment management platform was suffering from severe performance degradation following rapid user growth. Average page load hit 8+ seconds. Clinicians were reporting tool fatigue and switching to manual workarounds. The platform had zero accessibility compliance, creating regulatory risk. Investor pressure demanded a demonstrably improved product within 60 days.

Our Approach

We embedded a 2-engineer team directly into Prismatic's existing engineering organisation for 4 weeks. Rather than rebuilding, we conducted a deep performance and UX audit, identifying 12 critical bottlenecks including N+1 database queries, unoptimised image delivery, client-side rendering of large data tables, and non-memoised React components causing full re-renders on every state change.

The Solution

Refactored critical API endpoints to use server-side pagination and optimised PostgreSQL queries with composite indexes. Migrated data tables to virtualised rendering (react-window). Introduced Redis caching for appointment availability. Rewrote the scheduling calendar using a custom React implementation. Achieved WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all 28 platform screens. Introduced Datadog APM for ongoing visibility.

The turnaround was remarkable. In six weeks they fixed what our internal team had struggled with for months — and the codebase is now something we're proud of.

The Challenge

Novara, a 60-person London creative agency, was running project communication across email threads, Dropbox links, and spreadsheet trackers. Client feedback cycles were taking 3–5 days. Project profitability was eroding due to untracked scope creep. They needed a branded client portal that positioned them as a premium agency and centralised all project communication.

Our Approach

We designed and built a bespoke white-label client portal system from scratch. The product brief was treated as a SaaS product: user research with Novara's top 10 clients, journey mapping, information architecture before a single line of code was written. We selected Next.js + Prisma + PostgreSQL + Supabase Auth for the technology stack.

The Solution

Delivered a fully branded client portal with real-time project status tracking, milestone approval workflows, file asset delivery, invoice transparency, and inline commenting on creative deliverables. Built a complementary internal dashboard for Novara's project managers with profitability tracking and automated scope alerts. Designed the full UI/UX system as a standalone Figma design system.

Our clients genuinely compliment the portal on discovery calls now. It's become a sales tool. The ROI has been extraordinary — we won three new enterprise clients off the back of it.
